What I Actually Do on the Water
Paddle boarding — yes. There is something about the combination of balance, core strength and open water that is genuinely addictive. Highly recommend.
Wave runners — absolutely yes. Fast, loud, slightly irresponsible and completely wonderful. 🛥️
Scuba diving — this is where it gets serious. I am certified advanced, rescue and nitrox. I have dived the Jacques Cousteau Blue Hole in the Red Sea — hammerheads at 120 feet with a touch of nitrogen narcosis for atmosphere. I have dived with wild dusky dolphins off the Kaikoura coast in New Zealand who chose us, which remains one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life. I got certified in Jamaica and have been diving ever since.
The ocean is not just a backdrop for me. It's a destination. 🌊
And Yes — The Sunbathing
If the deck is private and the sun is warm, I see absolutely no reason to leave anything to the imagination.
This is not a controversial position. This is just good sense and European sensibility. The French Riviera nude beach I once visited had a somewhat different demographic than I expected — but the principle is sound. ⚓
