Summer is short. Make it count. 😎

There is something about summer that changes everything.

The longer days. The warmth that settles into your bones. The particular energy that comes when the world opens up and every weekend feels like an invitation. Summer is the season of experiences — of doing the things you've been meaning to do all year, of going places, of being fully present in a way that winter simply doesn't allow.

And all of it — every single bit of it — is better with the right companion beside you. ☀️

Why Summer Is Different

Winter has its magic. Ski trips and cozy evenings and the particular intimacy of being somewhere cold together. I've written about that world and I love it.

But summer is something else entirely.

Summer is outdoor dining on a warm evening when nobody wants to be inside. It's a round of golf when the course is green and the light is golden. It's a boat on a lake with nowhere to be and all day to get there. It's a concert under the open sky, a dive into impossibly clear water, a rooftop somewhere with a cold drink and a view worth staying for.

Summer is alive in a way that other seasons aren't. And the right companion makes it electric.

What Summer Looks Like With Me 🌞

Let me tell you what I bring to a summer day.

On the golf course ⛳ — I actually play. Not perfectly — I've been honest about that in my golf post — but genuinely and enthusiastically, with pink balls and a willingness to laugh at my own short game. Nine holes is my sweet spot — eighteen is a commitment that tests my patience. 🤣 A summer golf date with me is exactly what a summer golf date should be: good company, fresh air, something cold at the 19th hole.

On the water 🌊 — Summer is peak season for everything I love on, in and beside the water. Lake days. Boat afternoons. Wave runners. And of course — scuba diving. I am most completely myself underwater and summer opens up the best diving destinations. The Great Barrier Reef, the Maldives — I've been lucky enough to tick those off. Turks and Caicos is next on my list. The diving is supposed to be extraordinary and it's close enough to make a summer trip genuinely viable. If that's on your list too — let's talk. 🤿

At a concert 🎵 — Live music in summer is one of life's great pleasures. I have seen a lot of concerts in a lot of venues. But Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado — that one is still on my bucket list. A natural amphitheater carved into the red rock, Colorado sunset behind the stage, the right artist, the right company. That would be genuinely epic. And it's just a few hours from Utah. If you have tickets — I am very interested. 😄

At a sporting event 🏆 — Here's something that might surprise you: I have never been to a professional football game. It's firmly on the bucket list. Most men love watching sports and I genuinely enjoy the energy of a live event — the crowd, the atmosphere, the shared experience of watching something extraordinary happen in real time. A summer sporting event with a knowledgeable companion who can actually enjoy it with you rather than checking her phone? That's worth something. 😊

And tennis — the opens are on my bucket list for a very specific reason. I have an extensive hat collection that has been waiting patiently for exactly this occasion. Wimbledon, the US Open, Roland Garros — any of them would do beautifully. 👒😄

The Summer Bucket List 🌟

Speaking of which — clients have told me they love reading my bucket list because sometimes their own list and mine overlap in the most interesting ways. Consider this an open invitation:

🏈 First pro football game — season starts in the fall but the planning starts now 🎾 Wimbledon — the ultimate summer tennis experience, strawberries and cream, Centre Court 🎾 US Open tennis — New York in late summer, one of sport's great atmospheres 🎾 French Open (Roland Garros) — Paris in June. Need I say more? A truly bucket list golf course — Pebble Beach. St Andrews. Somewhere worth the journey. 🎵 Red Rocks Amphitheater — Colorado, close to Utah, legendary 🤿 Turks and Caicos — Caribbean diving, warm water, not far Sailing somewhere warm and beautiful — I've written about my love of the water. A sailing trip somewhere gorgeous is always on the list.

If any of these are on your list too — that's not a coincidence. That's a conversation worth having. 😊

Summer FMTY Destinations 🌍

Summer opens up FMTY possibilities that other seasons don't. I'm available nationwide and the warm months make travel feel effortless rather than obligatory.

Some summer destinations I'm particularly enthusiastic about:

Lake Tahoe 💎 — peak season. The water is warm enough for everything, the scenery is extraordinary and the summer energy there is unlike anywhere else.

Scottsdale ☀️ — hot, yes. But rooftop pools, great golf, and beautiful desert evenings make it worth it.

The Hamptons 🌊 — summer in the Hamptons is its own world. Beach, boats, outdoor dining, the particular energy of that place in July.

Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket ⚓ — New England in summer is quietly one of the most beautiful things in America. Charming, unhurried, elegant. Very much on my list.

Coastal California 🌴 — Santa Barbara, San Diego, Catalina Island. The Catalina Island Jazz Festival alone is worth the trip — jazz on an island off the California coast is exactly as magical as it sounds. 🎷

Montreal Jazz Festival 🎷 — one of the greatest music festivals in North America. Montreal in summer, world class jazz, incredible food, a city that knows how to have a good time. Firmly on my bucket list.

Anywhere you want to go ✈️ — genuinely. Summer makes everything feel possible.

The Simple Truth About Summer

Summer is short. The good ones always are.

The rounds of golf you meant to play. The concert you kept meaning to get tickets for. The lake day you said you'd do eventually. The trip you've been planning in your head for three years.

Eventually is now. Summer is here. And the right companion makes all of it — every single moment of it — better. 💛

Don't let another summer pass doing everything alone when it could be this good.
