Where I Drive. 🚘

Jackson Hole, Wyoming ⛷️ About four and a half hours from Park City and one of my most regular destinations. I know Jackson Hole intimately — the skiing, the town, the energy that only Jackson produces. And if you want a ghost story, ask me about my stay at the Wort Hotel sometime. I had an unexplained experience there that I have never fully been able to explain. 👻

Las Vegas, Nevada 🎰 About five to six hours in real world driving — longer than Google Maps suggests once you factor in stops and traffic. Las Vegas works beautifully as a DMTY — you are in your element, in your city and I arrive ready for whatever extraordinary evening you have planned. ✓

Sun Valley, Idaho 🎿 About four hours and one of my absolute favorite destinations. I have skied Bald Mountain, sat at the bar at the Sun Valley Lodge chatting with friends for hours and hiked the extraordinary summer trails. Sun Valley is what Park City used to be — and I mean that as the highest possible compliment. 😊 Aspen, Colorado 🏔️ About five hours by car — though I vastly prefer flying into Aspen/Pitkin County Airport for one of the most dramatic mountain approaches in the world. I have skied Aspen Mountain and Snowmass, sticking happily to the blues while admiring the serious terrain from a safe distance. And then there is Cloud 9 — a cozy cabin bar on Snowmass where the afternoon somehow transforms into champagne squirt guns, a DJ spinning and everyone dancing in their ski boots before clipping back in and skiing the rest of the way down. Completely, gloriously unhinged in the best possible way. 🍾 After the mountain — the J-Bar at Hotel Jerome. Dark wood, great people watching and a $30 espresso martini that I regret absolutely nothing about. Worth every single penny. 🍸

Vail, Colorado 🎿🏂 About five and a half hours and another mountain I have actually skied. Vail is world class in every sense — the mountain, the village, the whole experience. A DMTY to Vail for a ski or snowboarding date is genuinely one of my favorite kinds of day. ✓

Steamboat Springs, Colorado 🎿 About five hours and a mountain I have skied and genuinely loved. Steamboat has a particular warmth and authenticity that sets it apart from the more glamorous resorts — real western Colorado energy combined with extraordinary skiing. ✓

Telluride, Colorado 🎵🏔️ About five and a half hours and home to some of my most extraordinary memories. I attended the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and it was genuinely magical — mountain air, incredible music and the particular joy of a festival in one of Colorado's most beautiful settings. And just outside Telluride are some of the best clothing-optional hot springs I have ever soaked in. I love hot springing. There is something completely restorative about sinking into natural hot water surrounded by mountains. ✓

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 🌊 About five and a half hours and a destination that genuinely surprised me. I have been on a wave runner on Lake Coeur d'Alene and spent time boating on that extraordinary water — and the lake is simply stunning. Crystal clear, surrounded by mountains and completely unlike anything else in the Pacific Northwest. ✓

St George, Utah ⛳ About four hours south of Park City and a completely different Utah — warm, red rock, extraordinary and genuinely beautiful. I have been wanting to golf there and it is absolutely on my list. The courses look stunning against that red rock landscape. ✓

Moab, Utah 🏜️ About three and a half hours and one of the most visually extraordinary places in America. I have rafted the Colorado River, attempted — and I use that word deliberately — Slick Rock biking 😄 and gone off-roading through landscapes that look like another planet entirely. I have hiked to Arches and stood in one of the most breathtaking spots on earth. Moab is genuinely extraordinary. ✓

Boise, Idaho ✈️ About four and a half hours and a genuinely underrated city — warm, walkable, surprisingly sophisticated and a wonderful destination for a DMTY date. ✓
